Company branding for Microsoft Edge

Enhancing Microsoft Edge for Business with your organization’s branding can provide a seamless and recognizable experience for users. This customization allows for easy differentiation between multiple profiles and reinforces corporate identity. The branding elements include displaying the company name in the profile badge, applying company colours and logos in the profile menu, and overlaying the company logo on the Edge taskbar icon. These features are available starting with Microsoft Edge stable release version 120.

Prerequisites

Before diving into the configuration, ensure that your organization’s branding assets are set up in Microsoft Entra, as Edge for Business utilizes this information for customization.

Configuration Steps

Navigate to Devices > Windows > Configuration Profiles. Select + Create Profile, and in the platform dropdown, choose Windows 10 and later. Under profile type, select Settings Catalog.

Name the profile and add settings. Search for “Allow the use of your organization”. Search and add Allow the use of your organization’s branding assets from M365 on the profile-related UI of a work profile. Search for “Allow your organization” and add the setting Allow your organization’s logo from Microsoft Entra to be overlaid on the Microsoft Edge app icon of a work profile.

Enable them both and it should look like this:

Now deploy the configuration to a group of devices of your choice. After deploying these settings, instruct users to restart Microsoft Edge to see the changes take effect.

User Experience

Once configured, users will experience:

  1. Profile Badge: The profile badge will display the company name, aiding in distinguishing between different profiles.
  2. Profile Menu: The profile menu will showcase the company logo and colours, reinforcing brand identity.
  3. Taskbar Icon: The Edge taskbar icon will feature an overlay of the company logo, providing a consistent branded appearance.

Hopefully you will get this result:
